Tapestry

The online Learning Journal

As your child learns and grows with us we want to record and share every developmental milestone they achieve. To do this we use a website called Tapestry

The website can be accessed through either computer, laptop, smart phone or tablet.

Using this online system will allow your child’s Key Person and staff within the room to instantly upload photos, videos and observations of your child. You will be notified that there is something new to view on your child’s learning journal and you will then log on to your account and view what they have been up to. You will then be able to like or comment on your child’s observation. As well as us sharing photos, videos and observations with you, you are also able to send us the same back of activities, outings or achievements that your child has done whilst away from nursery, these will then be added to your child’s learning journey also.

All we need is an email address that we then send an activation email to, you will then be asked to set up you personal log in details to view your child’s online learning journal. As well as yourselves you are able to add other family members to the account such as parents that are not living at the same address, Grandparents or other carers, all we will need is their email address too. If you do not have internet access or an email account we do not want you to feel excluded so please come to the office where we can arrange a convenient time for us and yourself, to view your child’s online learning journey at the nursery instead.

It is important to mention that safeguarding of all children attending Little Treasures is vital to us and anything added to Tapestry will only ever be viewed by staff at Little Treasures who use the system and yourselves using your personal log in. No other parents will be able to view your child’s learning journey.
